Welcome to our
web site! We hope you enjoy the colorful pictures of our Appaloosas.
Pete and I have been raising Appaloosas since 1997.

These aren’t
the first Appaloosas that we have owned, I have loved Appaloosas for a long time and in
fact, when I was 16, I rode my mare Star ten miles to have her bred to Mr. Moon
Rocket, an ApHC stallion owned by Donnie Bachman. The resulting foal was
Stardust, Dusty for short. |

My old friend Star
is no longer with us, but her memory lives on as each year I name a foal with her name in
it. Now we have a band of
broodmares, our stallion, a team of driving ponies, and of course " Susie's
Princess" our first foal and " A Prince for Star" the first foal named
after star.

We have since
moved from South Dakota, where we lived together for 30 years, to Nowata, Oklahoma to
Black Star Ranch, Yes you guessed it, named after our beloved "Star". We are now
looking forward to showing our horses in the regional clubs located here in Oklahoma and
in Missouri and we may even make it back to South Dakota for a show too, you never know!
